Vince Vaughn is an imbecile
Hollywood star Vince Vaughn has revealed he believes guns should be allowed in American schools and that a ban would not stop mass shootings.

The 45-year-old told GQ magazine he supported the right to own a gun and carry it in public.

Despite a series of shootings in US schools, when asked whether guns should be allowed, he said: "Of course. You think the politicians that run my country and your country don't have guns in the schools their kids go to? They do.

"And we should be allowed the same rights. Banning guns is like banning forks in an attempt to stop making people fat. Taking away guns, taking away drugs, the booze, it won't rid the world of criminality."

In 2012, Adam Lanza killed 20 children and six school staff in a shooting at Sandy Hook school in Newtown, Connecticut.

The True Detective actor added: "I support people having a gun in public full stop, not just in your home. We don't have the right to bear arms because of burglars.

"We have the right to bear arms to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government. It's not about duck hunting, it's about the ability of the individual.

"It's the same reason we have freedom of speech. It's well known that the greatest defence against an intruder is the sound of a gun hammer being pulled back."

Vaughn went on: "All these gun shootings that have gone down in America since 1950, only one or maybe two have happened in non-gun-free zones. Take mass shootings. They've only happened in places that don't allow guns. These people are sick in the head and are going to kill innocent people.

"They are looking to slaughter defenceless human beings ... In all of our schools it is illegal to have guns on campus, so again and again these guys go and shoot up these ... schools because they know there are no guns there. They are monsters killing six-year-olds."

Unfortunately the USA is full of Crazed Gun lovers who believe that one of the greatest things in life is to have the apparatus to be able to kill human beings like Rats.
They have been bred to love the gun they can only see positives where as most sane people see grave dangers.

Re: Vince Vaughn is an imbecile
The stats to back up his burglars argument doesn't work in his favour. America has one of the highest prisoners rates in the 'western world'. In the 50's they had under 200k prisoners. Now they have well over 1.5 million.

Instead of turning to rights to own a gun to tackle this issue, perhaps they should tackle the desperation that leads to burglary in the first place. Poverty.

Which you know, also is on the rise in recent decades, funny that. In fact the wealth difference has increased with their big elite co-operations, whilst crime and poverty has done the same at the same time.

Some kind of related theme? Fuck me I sound like Antly.

I'll be shouting false flag or whatever next.

You find a lot of yanks unable to make the leap beyond the personal to the national.

People who are impressed by something a film star says because it's a film star saying it are imbeciles.

To be charitable, VV is merely answering questions about things he hasn't properly thought through, and possibly regurgitating someone else's propaganda.

Re: Vince Vaughn is an imbecile
I suppose he does have a point. No guns allowed in schools and that is where most of these gun crazed attacks happen. Not sure if allowing guns in schools is the solution though.

In 2010 there was more guns than people in America.

He doesn't have a point.

Re: Vince Vaughn is an imbecile
People like Vince and his ilk, via the NRA help to create a situation where American is so saturated with guns that literally anyone can get hold of one with almost no restrictions whatsoever.

Typically they are part of the problem, but most hate responsible regulations and are unable to have the self-awareness to see that the right to own his little manhood enhancer comes with a responsibility to make it as safe as possible for others.

Most of those types are nasty little selfish individuals that fail to see that they help to put a gun in the hands of people like Lanza, instead choosing to compare the deaths caused by guns to those caused by motor vehicles and swimming pools.

Most of them are absolute cowards in my book.
